About The Position

Conduct duties for laborer positions of the Locomotive Department.
Work shift description: 8 Hrs (overtime as needed).
Operate pick-up truck, forklift, and railroad specific hand and power tools.
Service 6-8 locomotives per shift
Access work areas
Conduct locomotive fueling
Operate locomotive at refill station
Wash locomotive windows
Clear locomotive steps, catwalk, doors of ice/snow
Add sand to locomotive
Clean/pressure wash locomotive and engine parts
Secure track
Access and service locomotives throughout IHBRR yard.
Operate pick-up truck
Move various supplies (cased water, fuses) into locomotive cab
Conduct Roundhouse Duties
Operate turn table
Remove trash and debris from turn table and pit locations
Operate forklift to remove dumpster trash

Requirements

• Applicant must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and be insurable through Company insurance
