Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical background
  • Experience in rolling stock operations and/or maintenance
  • Familiarity with FRA/CFR requirements and relevant regulations
  • Excellent interpersonal communication across teams, customers, and the community
  • Continuous improvement mindset and willingness to challenge the status quo
  • Structured troubleshooting under pressure; composed in time-critical scenarios
  • Motivation to develop deep knowledge of Venture Coaches and Charger Locomotives

Responsibilities

  • Continuous surveillance of fleet performance for Siemens locomotives at the Amtrak Mechanical Desk
  • Real-time, calm phone support to end users to restore service safely and quickly
  • Use remote data to diagnose issues and recommend corrective actions
  • Own and support Failure Investigations and Root Cause Analysis; refresh procedures and documentation
  • Partner with Product Managers, Software Engineers, and Field Service Technicians on maintenance improvements
  • Provide technical oversight to contractual depots and administrative support to Siemens Reliability and Service Managers
  • Resolve customer issues end-to-end: clarify, identify causes, explain best solution, expedite fix, and follow up
