About The Position

MediaNews Group is looking for a detail-oriented Lockbox Processor to join our team. The Lockbox Processor ensures the accurate and timely handling of customer payments by preparing and processing transactions according to strict account specifications and security standards. This is a vital role for someone who takes pride in high-precision work and thrives in an environment where every detail counts.

Requirements

• Ability to read and understand written instructions (including process, policy and procedures manuals) and correspondence
• Proficiency in organizing thoughts and delivering clear verbal and written communications to all levels within the organization
• The skill set to identify and communicate technical problems to IT staff for swift system resolution
• High interpersonal skills, diplomacy, and a naturally customer-focused mindset
• A strong ethical foundation, which is essential for handling sensitive financial data
• Desire for accuracy and a proactive approach to identifying process improvements
• 1+ year(s) of business experience
• A high school diploma or GED (required), while an Associate’s degree is preferred

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort, and scan/process all classes of United States Postal Service (USPS) mail
• Capture, check, and document images utilizing high-speed imaging equipment
• Prepare documents for efficient processing, ensuring that all necessary materials and capacity are available to complete each transaction
• Verify that all equipment is fully operational
• Maintain consistent productivity and quality levels to meet department goals
• Clean and maintain office equipment and scanner
• Lift heavy boxes, files, or paper as needed
• Test imaging software and system updates as needed
• Provides exceptional customer care with a friendly, professional, and cooperative attitude
• Adheres strictly to all safety procedures and business guidelines

Benefits

• The hourly wage is $15 - $16.50.
• Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to geographic location, education, work experience, time in role, certifications, etc.
