We have an immediate opening for a Lock Out Tag Out Technician at our aerospace location in Rockford, ILL. The primary focus of this role is to implement and manage the organization's lockout/tagout program to ensure the safety of employees when servicing or maintaining equipment.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma/GED with 5-7 years' experience OR associate degree in a skilled trade with 3-5 years' experience in OSHA Safety.
  • Data collection and documentation experience.
  • Demonstrated experience developing metrics, data mining, and database management.
  • Demonstrated experience with MS Office suite of programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to differentiate colors pertaining to LOTO procedures.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of and ability to contribute to / follow a safety plan and procedures.
  • Must be a US Citizen due to the nature of the work.

Responsibilities

  • Develop procedures, train employees, and ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company policies.
  • Develop, maintain, and update LOTO procedures for all applicable equipment and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147, NFPA70(e) and other relevant safety regulations.
  • Create written LOTO procedures and ensure that they are maintained up-to-date.
  • Ensure that Affected and Authorized individuals receive LOTO training as specified in this policy and are following all written LOTO procedures at all times with no deviation from written procedures during actual work.
