About The Position

Responsible for achievement of location business plan objectives and fulfilling the expectations of all stakeholders (owners, customers, and employees). Provides leadership in evaluating, allocating, and managing human, physical and financial resources for the location. Optimizes the profitable growth of the business, the personal growth of employees, and the satisfaction of customers.

Requirements

  • Five years previous management experience preferred
  • Good computer and microsoft office skills
  • Background in Agriculitre strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Executes the business plan and achieves financial performance, including sales, budgets and cost control, according to established goals for a location(s)
  • Ensures that appropriate communication takes place within and across all departments at the store location(s) which may include leading regular department management staff meetings and all employee meetings
  • Communicates the dealership values, principles, vision and mission within their location
  • Communicates with other store managers to implement best practices and consistent processes for all departments within the organization
  • Supports corporate managers in implementing changes in any department within the location
  • Ensures the successful planning and execution of marketing activities and events
  • Oversees maintenance, security and a professional appearance of the facility and property for the location
  • Provides input to the hiring, development and coaching, evaluation, and effectiveness of the management team and other employees within the store
  • Manages on-going relationships with John Deere personnel
  • Develops and maintains a positive relationship with all existing and new customers and resolves any elevated customer issues
  • Develops and enforces best practices for all departments
  • Engages in the implementing of John Deere’s mainstreaming throughout all departments
  • Oversees seasonal parts promotions and Greenlight Service promotions
  • Works with Parts and Service Managers or the Corporate Aftermarket Manager to promote customer satisfaction
  • It is management's responsibility to ensure that the "Sales Guidelines for Tax Exemption" policy is understood and implemented at their location. Managers are responsible for ensuring that this policy is being followed and that Western Equipment LLC is in compliance with state tax laws at all times.
  • The Store Manager is responsible for attaining the following Market Share percentages; Large Ag 68.5%, Mid 56%, and Small Ag 42.5%.
  • Develops and executes the Sales Department metrics and goals
  • Manages and coaches sales professionals to implement the sales process, especially for deals involving MUD
  • Creates development plans for sales professionals which includes identifying training needs
  • Creates and executes an effective wholegoods marketing strategy
  • May represent the company for the sale of machinery to key customers as needed
  • Implements a consistent sales process that drives optimal financial, market and customer performance
  • Develops and implements incentives plans for sales team and customers
  • Manages sales department equipment including vehicles and sales office equipment
  • Oversees and adequately maintains new machinery inventory according to demand and utilization
  • Manages used inventory levels and adjusts them through the use of machinery auctions, wholesaling, and internet advertising
