About The Position

The Location Manager at Carriage Services is responsible for overseeing all aspects of memorial services at the Rader Funeral Home location. This role includes managing operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing support to families during their time of need. The Location Manager is accountable for exceeding client expectations and enhancing the overall experience of the funeral services provided.

Requirements

  • Current Funeral Director license required.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience managing a funeral home or similar facility.
  • Ability to analyze financial reports to determine necessary actions for performance improvement.
  • Willingness to explore additional prospecting channels.
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work in a team setting.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the management of resources and day-to-day operations.
  • Understand and monitor compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations for the operation of the crematory, prep room, and funeral home.
  • Develop and monitor quality relationships with suppliers to enhance client family satisfaction and market share growth.
  • Meet with families regarding funeral services.
  • Monitor and manage financial results to meet or exceed standards.
  • Prepare and manage capital requests and expenditures.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and development to department heads and location staff.
  • Ensure family surveys and service follow-up calls are completed.
  • Inspect all facilities to ensure maintenance to standards.
  • Develop and implement marketing plans to increase community exposure.
  • Sponsor on-site community events to promote the business.
  • Develop relationships with community businesses and leaders.
  • Assist direct reports in setting and meeting their goals.
  • Encourage the development of new service offerings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
