About The Position

The QC Technician Level I position at Granite Construction Company involves testing, sampling, and inspecting construction materials to ensure compliance with specifications. Requirements

• High school diploma preferred.
• Entry-level position (0-2 years of experience).
• Basic computer skills.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive.

Responsibilities

• Collect and prepare samples of construction materials such as soil, aggregate, hot mix asphalt (HMA), or Portland cement concrete (PCC) in laboratory or field settings.
• Perform quality control testing on construction materials to ensure compliance with supplier and owner specifications.
• Conduct inspections on construction materials to verify adherence to quality standards.
• Prepare and communicate testing and inspection results to supervisors to facilitate quality control and process improvements.
• Promote and participate in Granite's safety procedures and policies to maintain a safe working environment.
• Comply with OSHA and MSHA regulations to perform duties safely.
