About The Position

Requirements

  • Good 10-key data entry skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Windows 2000, and Access.

Responsibilities

  • Process all payables related to assigned products or locations promptly.
  • Verify incoming invoices with information entered into the grain system and ensure proper application of units to contracts.
  • Review commodity invoices for accuracy, including related freight charges, and make necessary corrections.
  • Handle extensive customer service responsibilities, including problem resolution and relationship building.
  • Review payables in the grain system and correct discrepancies between vendor invoices and established payables vouchers.
  • Respond to routine correspondence in a timely manner with farmers, corporate management, and federal auditors.
  • Assist with elevator duties such as weighing trucks and communicating via 2-way radio.
  • Maintain up-to-date and easily accessible filing systems.
  • Assist merchandisers, regional managers, and accounting staff with reconciliations of accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Provide general office and accounting support, ensuring all service work and documentation are current.
  • Accurate data entry of inbound/outbound truck and rail units and verification of daily reports.
