About The Position

thyssenkrupp is actively seeking a skilled and safety-focused Local Yard Switcher (Holstler Driver) to join our team on 3rd Shift . If you have a strong background in backing trailers into docks and thrive in a fast-paced yard environment, we want to hear from you!

Position Details:
Location: Greer, SC
Shift: 3rd Shift - 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM (Rotating Schedule)
Pay: Starting at $24.00/hour with $0.50 shift differential
Benefits: Full benefits package available after 30 days of employment

Requirements

• Minimum Age: 21 years old
• Experience: At least 2 years of verifiable Class A CDL driving experience
• Backing Skills: Proven ability to back trailers into docks with accuracy and consistency
• Must not have any seatbelt or cell phone violations.
• Must have Class A CDL
• CDL and Medical Certification must be DOT Compliant.

Responsibilities

• Operate a yard truck (hostler) to move trailers safely and efficiently within the customer's yard.
• Expertly back trailers into tight dock spaces with precision and care.
• Relocate trailers between docks, staging areas, and parking zones.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with dispatch and team members.
• Adhere to all FMCSA regulations , safety protocols, and company policies.
