The role of a Substitute Teacher is to ensure that students receive quality instruction in the absence of their regular teacher. Omaha Public Schools is seeking substitute teacher candidates who can fulfill the requirements for Nebraska Local Substitute permits. Experience working with children is required. College coursework in education or related experience is required. TOP (Teaching Opportunity Program) approved for the Local Substitute Certificate through the Metropolitan Omaha Educational Consortium (MOEC) will receive preference.
