Local Search Auditor
About The Position
U-Haul is looking for a Search Analyst (Local Search Auditor) to join the Digital Listings Team, responsible for maintaining and improving a high volume of Google Business Profiles and Apple Business Connect Listings along with overall listing accuracy on the internet. A Digital listing is comprised of the U-Haul business name, address, phone number, URL, services, photos, and map pin placement. This role will work directly with internal U-Haul stakeholders (e.g., marketing, product manager, and field operations) to improve listing accuracy and performance. Recent college grads are welcome to apply!
Requirements
- Proven ability to take initiative, escalate roadblocks, and exercise independent and sound judgment as well as working within team workflow.
- Proficiency in Google Maps, Apple Maps, & Bing Maps.
- Proficiency in Google Business Profiles.
- Familiarity with Local SEO preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel: ability to utilize formulas & organize data.
- Stellar research skills and ability to familiarize yourself with new topics and industries quickly.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to independently prioritize work and complete assignments in a timely manner.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to review data, offer options, and resolve problems.
- Proficiency in Internet navigation.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks accurately.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with Local SEO preferred.
Responsibilities
- Identify the root issue/cause of listing or map errors.
- Daily communication mainly by email with the Field & Internal Stakeholders to stay up to date with all things related to U-Haul locations.
- Optimize the Google Business Profiles for overall performance and ranking.
- Managing Updates, Duplicates, Unverified, & Suspended Google Business Profiles.
- Google API: Research issues, use internal API tools, fix errors, & run the API.
- Coordinate with the Web team, Dealer Services, VoIP team, and telephone provisioning to research & correct internal listing information.
- Ensure online listings are created and closed appropriately to establish or maintain listing consistency, and accuracy throughout the internet.
- Auditing Centers’ Information across Search Engines & Internal Platforms.
