About The Position

Are you a strong, adaptable leader with experience managing dedicated accounts? We are looking for a manager to lead a diverse group of drivers and manage customer relationship. The right candidate will be monitoring and overseeing the safe, effective, and value-added support for our customers, our drivers and onsite team. Apply today! Responsibilities as a local operations manager look like: Collaborate with customers daily to address issues and ensure overall success Work with Coordinator Team and drivers with safety as the focus. Address safety issues with drivers in a timely manner and respond with appropriate actions which may include warnings, probation, and possible termination. Be proficient in our systems and be able to adjust previously dispatched loads based on finalized customer load plan. Communicate timely and effectively both through PS Tablet and over the phone with drivers. Communicate with drivers and Local customers to meet expectations and on time service requirements. Build strong relationships between Coordinators, drivers and management. Provide feedback both positive and constructive to drivers. Work effectively with safety and maintenance teams to address issues and concerns regarding drivers and equipment. Coach drivers on performance issues to include poor trip planning, service exceptions, company policy violations, and communicating effectively. Provide feedback to operations manager regarding driver issues/concerns that are not improving or may need further intervention with either operations or safety. Monitor drivers Hours of Service to ensure they are running within FMCSA regs. Solicit drivers from other departments when necessary to cover Schedules Education and Experience Requirements: Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent required. Requirements

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two to three years of transportation experience
