The position involves assisting Corporate IT with diagnosing and resolving Wide Area Network (WAN) issues. The individual will work closely with Corporate IT staff to facilitate the design of upgrades to the existing network, hardware, and standard software infrastructure. The role requires effective communication of local requirements that must be met and assisting in the delivery of the final solution. Additionally, the position supports and maintains Personal Computer (PC) operations, including diagnosing hardware or software failures, and ensures that hardware and software are maintained in compliance with corporate standards. The individual will act as a liaison with vendors for hardware repairs or replacements and support the help-desk function for both internal and remote users. The role also involves recommending new equipment for special projects according to corporate standards and reviewing, selecting, and recommending equipment and software that is not covered by corporate standards or is required locally.
