Local Installer

At Altus Technology Solutions, we are looking for an experienced Local Installer (SA 2) to support mission-critical IT operations for government programs. Responsibilities

• Provide support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
• Manage daily IT system operations, including monitoring, problem resolution, and optimizing resource utilization.
• Diagnose and resolve Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) IT issues.
• Provide direct support for client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, and dispatch system hardware.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
• Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems, including installation and troubleshooting.
• Optimize system operations, conduct capacity planning, and implement system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
• Assist users in accessing and using IT systems effectively.
• Communicate escalations and system status updates to agency management and internal customers.
• Provide in-depth troubleshooting for IT systems and hardware-related issues.
• Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process.
• Optimize system operations and resource utilization, performing system capacity analysis and planning.
• Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets.

Requirements

• Active U.S. DoD Security Clearance Required
• 10+ years of experience as a System Administrator (SA) on projects of similar scope, type, and complexity
• Bachelors degree in a technical discipline OR five (5) additional years of SA experience in lieu of a degree
• DoD 8570 Compliance Security+ CE
• Experience managing enterprise IT systems and projects
• Hands-on experience with multiple system domains at various security classification levels
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with IT infrastructure, including network components, storage systems, and client/server environments
