About The Position

TForce Freight is a less-than-truckload (LTL) freight carrier in North America, operating as a subsidiary of TFI International. The company provides transportation and logistics services for various types of shipments, including palletized and heavy LTL loads, with over 178 service centers offering regional, interregional, long-haul, cross-border services, and advanced tracking technology. TForce Freight is seeking a reliable, safety and customer-focused individual to join their growing logistics team as a Local Driver. This role is responsible for the safe operation of a tractor and trailer to deliver freight to customers accurately and on time, serving as the face of TForce Freight by delivering a positive, helpful, and professional attitude. The company is dedicated to providing freight solutions that help customers achieve better results, encounter fewer problems, and improve efficiency, aiming to deliver more solutions and results for LTL shipments.

Requirements

  • Impeccable customer service and dedication
  • Valid class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) in resident state
  • Hazmat, tanker and doubles endorsements
  • 21 years of age
  • Meet all DOT and Company requirements
  • Safety perform essential job functions without obvious risk of injury to self or co-workers
  • Able to read, write and speak the English language
  • U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Strong organizational and time managements skills
  • List a complete 10 year employment history on the application in accordance with FMCSA regulations

Responsibilities

  • Operate a commercial vehicle transporting goods to various locations safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly before departure.
  • Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely deliveries and handling any customer inquiries or concerns.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any maintenance needs.
  • Adhere to all local, state and federal transportation regulations and safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate logs for driving hours, routes traveled and cargo conditions.
  • Communicate with the dispatch management team regarding schedules, delays and any issues that may arise during transportation.
