About The Position

Euclid Fish Company is seeking a dependable Local Delivery Driver to operate an 18-foot box truck or sprinter van delivering and unloading products to multiple customers daily. This role is hands-on and fast-paced, similar to FedEx, UPS, or foodservice route delivery . Drivers are responsible for accurate deliveries, customer interaction, and maintaining DOT compliance while representing the company professionally on all routes. Note: This is a physical, route-delivery position . Over-the-road (OTR) or semi-truck experience alone is not a fit for this role.

Requirements

  • Valid Class A, B, or C CDL (based on vehicle driven) with a clean driving record
  • Active USDOT Medical Card
  • Experience with route delivery (FedEx, UPS, foodservice, beverage, or similar preferred)
  • Ability to physically keep pace with daily delivery routes
  • Working knowledge of USDOT regulations
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
  • Ability to pass: Drug test (random testing pool), Background check, License check (pre-approval required)

Responsibilities

  • Deliver product within assigned routes, schedules, and delivery windows
  • Communicate route delays or issues to management immediately
  • Unload product by hand or with hand cart/pallet jack; may include stairs, ramps, docks, and outdoor conditions
  • Verify deliveries and obtain customer signatures
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies with management authorization
  • Collect and turn in payments (cash/checks) when required
  • Handle transfer envelopes between Cincinnati and Pittsburgh locations
  • Operate Samsara tablet system for logs and compliance
  • Pick up damaged goods and customer returns; complete required paperwork
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections per DOT regulations
  • Complete DVIR reports daily
  • Refuel vehicles and check DEF/oil levels as required
  • Maintain accurate DOT logs and report issues immediately
  • Follow all safety protocols and preferred work methods
  • Maintain cleanliness of vehicles and assist with warehouse sanitation
  • Complete driver safety testing and daily route paperwork
  • Be punctual for departures and aware of customer delivery times
  • Assist with warehouse duties during slower or seasonal periods
