About The Position
As a Local Delivery Driver (CDL B) at Airgas, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of compressed gas cylinders to our local and regional business customers. This position is based in Roseville, MN, and operates on a first shift schedule from Monday to Friday, allowing you to be home daily. You will be the face of Airgas, representing our commitment to customer service and safety while driving a modern fleet of vehicles that are equipped with advanced driver-friendly technology, including On Board Computers, collision avoidance systems, and GPS navigation. Your primary responsibilities will include loading, unloading, and delivering compressed gas cylinders to various customer locations. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate delivery records, collecting empty cylinders, and ensuring that all safety protocols are followed during the delivery process. This includes adhering to Airgas safety standards and government regulations set forth by agencies such as the Department of Transportation (DOT) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). You will also conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your vehicle to ensure it is in good working order and report any deficiencies. In addition to your driving duties, you will be expected to establish and maintain positive relationships with customers, addressing any service inquiries or complaints they may have. Your role will require effective communication with both customers and your manager to ensure that any issues are resolved promptly. Working in a warehouse or on the dock may also be part of your responsibilities as needed, contributing to a team-oriented environment focused on safety and customer satisfaction.
