Local Delivery Driver - CDL A
About The Position
This position involves delivering products to various customers, including Foodservice accounts. The driver operates a delivery vehicle and is responsible for delivering products to stores, rotating and stocking products on shelves, displays, in coolers, and vending equipment. The role also includes building small displays and setting up promotional materials like pricing signs and banners. The driver generates invoices and handles daily settlement of cash and charges, frequently interacting with store management and receiving personnel. Physical demands include repeatedly lifting and loading cases (20-45 pounds) and occasionally pushing/pulling (40-150 pounds of force), as well as reaching, squatting, and bending. Products are unloaded from the delivery vehicle using an electronic pallet jack or 2-wheel hand truck and placed in designated backroom areas.
Requirements
- 21 years or older
- Pass the DOT drug test and DOT Physical
- Valid U.S. CDL with Non-Excepted Interstate Status (if applicable)
- In all California locations except Stockton, both non-excepted intrastate and non-excepted interstate status are accepted for this position. In Stockton, CA, only non-excepted interstate status is accepted.

- Operating trucks requiring a Valid U.S. CDL license (for example, performing basic functions like driving forwards, driving backwards, or maneuvering in tight spaces)
- Adhering to all DOT regulations (for example, reading and comprehending documentation or maintaining current documentation such as medical cards)
- Merchandising products (for example, filling shelves, building displays, making products look attractive on shelves, rotating product, cleaning shelves, or eliminating out of stocks and out of date products)
- Using equipment to aid in hauling loads (for example, operating pallet jacks, using dock plates, or using load bars and straps)
- Operating equipment (pallet jacks, lift gates on trailers, hand trucks, breakdowns, etc.)
- Documenting DOT regulations (for example, reading and comprehending documentation or maintaining current documentation such as medical cards)
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
Responsibilities
- Deliver product and execute all promotions
- Service all scheduled customers by the end of shift
- Merchandise all accounts to local standards
- Establish positive working relationships with primary contact at each account
