About The Position

This position involves delivering products to various customers, including Foodservice accounts. The driver is responsible for operating the delivery vehicle and ensuring products reach stores. Key duties include rotating and stocking products on shelves, displays, in coolers, and vending equipment. The role also involves building small displays, setting up promotional materials like pricing signs and banners, generating invoices, and managing daily cash and charge settlements. Frequent interaction with store management and receiving personnel is required for load acceptance. The job demands repeated lifting and loading of cases weighing 20-45 pounds, occasional pushing/pulling with 40-150 pounds of force, and physical activities such as reaching, squatting, and bending during delivery and merchandising. Products are unloaded from the delivery vehicle using an electronic pallet jack or a 2-wheel hand truck and placed in designated backroom areas.

Requirements

  • 21 years or older
  • Pass the DOT drug test and DOT Physical
  • Valid U.S. CDL with Non-Excepted Interstate Status (if applicable)
  • In all California locations except Stockton, both non-excepted intrastate and non-excepted interstate status are accepted for this position. In Stockton, CA, only non-excepted interstate status is accepted.

Nice To Haves

  • Operating trucks requiring a Valid U.S. CDL license (for example, performing basic functions like driving forwards, driving backwards, or maneuvering in tight spaces)
  • Adhering to all DOT regulations (for example, reading and comprehending documentation or maintaining current documentation such as medical cards)
  • Merchandising products (for example, filling shelves, building displays, making products look attractive on shelves, rotating product, cleaning shelves, or eliminating out of stocks and out of date products)
  • Using equipment to aid in hauling loads (for example, operating pallet jacks, using dock plates, or using load bars and straps)
  • Operating equipment (pallet jacks, lift gates on trailers, hand trucks, breakdowns, etc.)
  • Documenting DOT regulations (for example, reading and comprehending documentation or maintaining current documentation such as medical cards)
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English

Responsibilities
