The position is for a relief driver who fills in for delivery drivers who are unavailable due to vacation, illness, etc. The routes for the relief driver typically change day to day, delivering products to stores on established or contingency routes or via dynamic dispatch to customers including convenience and gas stores, small supermarkets, and drug stores, across a wide variety of weather conditions. The driver is responsible for unloading and bringing products into the store, ongoing rotating and stocking of products on store shelves, displays, vending equipment, and in coolers. The role also involves building small displays and setting up promotional materials such as pricing signs and banners. The driver generates invoices and is responsible for daily settlement of cash and charges, with frequent interaction with store management. This position is labor-intensive, requiring lifting, loading, and pushing/pulling cases ranging from 20-45 pounds repeatedly during work hours, as well as reaching, squatting, and bending while delivering and merchandising products in the store.
