This position is for a relief delivery driver who fills in for other drivers when they are unavailable due to vacation, illness, or other reasons. The routes for the relief driver typically change daily. The role involves delivering products to various customers, including convenience stores, gas stations, small supermarkets, and drug stores, across diverse weather conditions. The driver is responsible for operating the delivery vehicle, unloading products, and bringing them into the store. Key tasks include rotating and stocking products on shelves, displays, vending equipment, and in coolers, as well as building small displays and setting up promotional materials like pricing signs and banners. The driver also generates invoices and handles daily settlement of cash and charges, frequently interacting with store management. This is a labor-intensive role requiring repeated lifting, loading, and pushing/pulling cases weighing 20-45 pounds, along with reaching, squatting, and bending during delivery and merchandising.
