About The Position

Legacy Supply Chain is hiring a Local Class C Delivery Driver / Material Handler to support our Scripps Ranch, CA operations. As a Local Class C Delivery Driver / Material Handler, you will be responsible for picking, moving, loading, and unloading orders from trucks and storage areas along with safely loading, securing, transporting, unloading, and driving a company vehicle while delivering product to end users. This position provides consistent year-round work with a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) plan with up to 5% company match.

Requirements

• 1 year experience driving 16' or 24' Stakebed, Bobtail, Box, and Flatbed trucks - no exceptions
• Previous forklift experience preferred
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Two (2) years of local delivery experience
• Must have clean MVR
• No DOT recordable accidents in the past 2 years
• Ability to lift 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads product from trucks in an efficient and safe manner
• Moves products to storage areas with proper equipment and efficiently stacks and stores the merchandise in the appropriate area
• Operates materials handling equipment safely and efficiently as required
• Picks orders for shipment and assembles various types of merchandise to be shipped
• Counts or verifies freight for accuracy and/or damage
• May perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking for shipment as needed
• Deliver to customers within 100 miles of Scripps Ranch, CA
• Abides by all OSHA rules, DOT and Legacy Supply Chain safety practices
• Ability to properly use material handling equipment
• Strives to meet on time commitments
• Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work area
• Any other duties that may be assigned
