About The Position

REIC Rentals (Pro Rentals and Sales) based in Idaho Falls, is hiring an experienced Local Class A CDL Driver to the deliver designated equipment as assigned and ensuring the operator is familiar with delivered equipment. Schedule M-F (no overnights and no weekends). What you will do As a Local Class A CDL Driver, you will deliver heavy equipment to customer sites in South East Idaho. Our CDL drivers oversee the safe loading/unloading of equipment, ensure the operator is familiar with delivered equipment and record/report the working condition of delivered and retrieved equipment, keep a clean truck with current daily and weekly inspections, and monitor and schedule annual and DOT inspections as required. Requirements

  • Valid Class A CDL Driver's License is required with manual transmission experience
  • Minimum two (2) years of driving experience REQUIRED
  • Experience in construction or heavy equipment rental industry is REQUIRED
  • Driving record violation-free for previous three years to include no record of any of the following violations: Driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance Leaving the scene of an accident Committing a felony with a motor vehicle Reckless driving Excessive speed
  • Have excellent communication skills with dispatch
  • Always think and act with safety in mind
  • Continually seek to improve maintenance and delivery processes
  • Ability to creatively solve problems
  • Self-starter and motivated to provide customer satisfaction
  • Ability to stand/sit for extended periods of time and the ability to perform tasks such as walking, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling and reaching.
  • Ability to lift 70 pounds for short periods, often several times per day

Responsibilities

  • Observing and reporting mechanical and safety failures
  • Maintaining vehicle appearance by cleaning and washing
  • Maintain all required certification, inspections, and medical compliance
