About The Position

REIC Rentals (Midway Rentals) is seeking a Local Class A CDL driver for their Whitefish store. This role involves hauling heavy equipment on local routes, delivering designated equipment, and ensuring operators are familiar with the delivered machinery. The driver is responsible for overseeing the safe loading and unloading of equipment, recording and reporting its working condition, maintaining truck cleanliness, and ensuring current daily, weekly, annual, and DOT inspections are performed and scheduled as required. REIC Rentals is a rapidly expanding equipment rental company with over 50 locations across North America, operating under various brand names including Midway Rental, Pro Rentals and Sales, Excavator Rental Services, Black Mountain Rental, and Aim High Equipment Rental.

Requirements

  • Valid Class A CDL Driver's License is required with manual transmission experience.
  • Driving record violation-free for previous three years to include no record of any of the following violations: Driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance, Leaving the scene of an accident, Committing a felony with a motor vehicle, Reckless driving, Excessive speed.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Always think and act with safety in mind.
  • Ability to creatively solve problems.
  • Self-starter and motivated to provide customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to stand/sit for extended periods of time and the ability to perform tasks such as walking, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling and reaching.
  • Ability to lift 70 pounds for short periods, often several times per day.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum two (2) years of driving experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience in construction is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering designated equipment and ensuring the operator is familiar with the delivered equipment.
  • Overseeing the safe loading/unloading of equipment.
  • Recording/reporting the working condition of delivered and retrieved equipment.
  • Ensuring the truck is clean and has current daily and weekly inspections.
  • Monitoring and scheduling annual and DOT inspections as required.
  • Ensuring pre-trip and post-trip inspections are conducted and documented.
  • Observing and reporting mechanical and safety failures.
  • Maintain all required certification, inspections, and medical compliance.
