About The Position
As a Local City Driver at Saia, you will play a crucial role in our operations by ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of freight between our terminals and customer facilities. In this role, you will operate various tractor-trailer combinations within the terminal's geographic service area. Your responsibilities will include sorting, handling, loading, and unloading freight at various company and customer locations. This position offers a consistent work schedule, allowing you to work Monday through Friday, with weekends off. You will also enjoy the benefit of being home daily, which is a significant advantage for maintaining a work-life balance. Additionally, you will be compensated for any overtime worked beyond 45 hours per week, in accordance with local laws. The pay for this position ranges from $29.50 to $34.00 per hour, with the potential for higher earnings based on experience. For those with over one year of experience, the pay for PFE (Performance Freight Evaluation) can reach up to $32.50 per hour.
