About The Position

Wurth Wood Group, a leading supplier of Hardwood Lumber, Plywood, Molding, Cabinet Hardware/Supplies and Laminate, and Building Supplies, is seeking a CDL-A Driver for our Richmond, VA location.  This is a full-time hourly position with biweekly pay. Permanent Role: This is a direct hire to our company. No staffing agencies are involved in the hiring process. Steady, year-round work. Average employee tenure is 15 years per employee across 30 branches in the US Schedule: Monday to Friday schedule 6:00am-3:00pm or until completion of daily route (1 to 3 hours of daily OT is normal) No nights - No weekends Time and a half after 40 hours Compensation: The starting pay rate for this role is $26.00/HR (non-negotiable) Truck Type: 28-foot Conestoga (Curtain-Side) Truck Automatic Transmission Duties: Secure load to truck by tying down to ascertain safe travel between stops Loading and unloading + forklift use is required (sit-down propane) Pass goods to customers by hand weighing 40lbs to 80lbs as needed Provide excellent customer service and communicate as needed with management pertaining to customer questions and concerns Utilize Electronic Logging Device (ELD) to perform pre-trip inspections and demonstrate DOT-compliant on-duty status, etc. in lieu of paper logs. Cameras facing in the cabin towards the driver as well as on the road ahead to protect the company in driver in the event of any incidents. Requirements: Must be comfortable wearing a company uniform and protective footwear (composite or steel toe) Safe Driving Record (MVR) Must be registered with the DOT Clearinghouse free of incidents (no SAP return-to-work sponsorship) Must have Valid CDL-A Must have Valid DOT Med Card (Medical Examiner's Certificate Job Type: Full Time.
