About The Position
As a Local Box Truck Delivery Driver at Lowe's Companies Inc., you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive their merchandise in a timely and efficient manner. This position requires you to plan and execute delivery activities, which includes preparing delivery loads, following planned delivery routes, and assisting with merchandise installations or returns. You will be responsible for unloading, installing, and checking appliances and store equipment, ensuring that all items are delivered in excellent condition. Additionally, you will maintain the cleanliness and standard maintenance of delivery vehicles, adhering to safety procedures regarding Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, Hazmat, and power equipment tools. Your role is vital in upholding Lowe's commitment to customer satisfaction and operational excellence. The position requires physical ability to move large, bulky, and/or heavy merchandise, as well as the ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties. You will need to be available for morning, afternoon, and evening shifts any day of the week, reflecting the dynamic nature of the delivery schedule. This role is not just about driving; it involves a hands-on approach to customer service and logistics, making it essential for you to be proactive and detail-oriented in your work.
