Hotel Valencia Riverwalk is located in downtown San Antonio, TX and is a pillar of the community. Job summary: Responsible for the cleaning, sanitation and upkeep of the lobby and other hotel public areas Shift requirements: Looking for flexibility with morning or evening shifts.

Requirements

  • Housekeeping or Customer Service experience preferred
  • Communicates effectively with others

  • Composure and patience under pressure
  • Previous experience in housekeeping department in hotel or related service industry preferred
  • Contributes to team results.
  • Ability to overcome unexpected obstacles through resourceful means.
  • High school or equivalent education required.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain lobby area and other public areas
  • Contribute positively to the team within the department
  • Prepare for any/all guest requests
  • Participate in on-going training
  • Comply with Valencia Hotel Group (and its affiliates) standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Valencia Hotel Group (and its affiliates) standards as required by scheduling which will vary dependent upon the hotels needs
  • Complete other duties as assigned by Supervisor (which may include other facets of housekeeping to include room attendant duties, laundry, houseperson duties, etc.)
  • Immediately responds to any potentially dangerous conditions such as wet floors
  • Maintain communication with team members to ensure assigned tasks/ requests are completed in a timely manner.
  • Handle guest issues and special requests to best of ability to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure guest preferences are completed as requested.
  • Verify assignments have been completed before the end of the shift
  • Responsible for maintaining hotel equipment ensuring to wash and clean equipment as needed to ensure it is kept in proper working conditions (such as vacuums)
  • Be extremely courteous to all customers and fellow employees
  • Ability to follow safety guidelines.
  • Must possess knowledge of chemical mixtures and read labels.
  • Ability to overcome unexpected obstacles through resourceful means.
  • Cleaning of guest rooms
  • Delivery of guest room amenities
