About The Position

The Lobby Lounge Porter is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, organization, and stocking of the lobby lounge area, including setting up and closing duties. This role involves maintaining work areas, stocking supplies like ice, glassware, and paper, and removing soiled items. The Porter is expected to adhere to all company safety and security policies, maintain a professional appearance, and protect company assets. A key aspect of the role is providing exceptional guest service, including welcoming guests, anticipating their needs, assisting those with disabilities, and communicating professionally. The position requires developing positive working relationships and supporting team goals, all while upholding the quality expectations and the 'Gold Standards' of The Ritz-Carlton. Requirements

  • Ability to read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e.g., small print).

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • No related work experience.
  • No supervisory experience.
  • No license or certification.

Responsibilities

  • Complete opening and closing duties including setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas, locking doors.
  • Check with captain or supervisor before leaving at end of shift.
  • Set up, stock, and maintain work areas.
  • Stock ice, glassware, and paper supplies.
  • Remove soiled wares from bar top and tables.
  • Maintain cleanliness and condition of work areas, bar, bar unit, tables, and other tools, following all set-up guidelines.
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager.
  • Complete safety training and certifications.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
  • Anticipate and address guests’ service needs.
  • Assist individuals with disabilities.
  • Thank guests with genuine appreciation.
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
  • Support team to reach common goals.
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
