About The Position

The Lobby Bartender role at Marriott International is focused on creating a memorable and unique guest experience beyond just mixing drinks. Bartenders are expected to stay updated on new trends and local offerings, acting as hosts of the space and taking ownership of broader guest service. They must ensure the bar functions flawlessly, build relationships with hotel staff and the community to anticipate guest needs, and demonstrate a passion for guest service with an eye for detail in handling transactions, providing information, and drink quality. Critical aspects of the role include maintaining a safe workplace, adhering to company policies, protecting assets, ensuring confidentiality, and presenting a professional appearance. The position requires physical activity, including standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, and hands-on tasks involving moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects up to 25 pounds, as well as reaching, bending, twisting, and stooping. Doing all these things well (and other reasonable job duties as requested) is critical for Bartenders – to get it right for our guests and our business each and every time.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • At least 1 year of related work experience
  • No supervisory experience
  • No specific license or certification

  • Act as the host of the space

  • Be passionate about the guest service experience
  • Have an eye for detail – from the money that moves through their hands, to the information they provide to guests, to the quality of their drinks
