About The Position

As a Bartender at the Residence Inn by Marriott Phoenix Chandler/South, you’ll be the master of mixology, crafting beverages that bring our guests together. Your energy and attention to detail will set the tone for a memorable experience. As a Bartender, you’ll be more than the person behind the bar—you’ll be the heart of our social experience. You’ll craft thoughtful cocktails, serve light bites, and create connections that make our long-term stay guests feel right at home. You’ll keep service smooth and personal in a low-volume, high-relationship setting where every conversation matters.

Requirements

  • Previous bartending experience, preferably in a hotel or guest-focused environment.
  • Valid Arizona Title IV certification.
  • A passion for hospitality and creating memorable experiences through service and conversation.
  • Creativity and curiosity for mixology—someone who loves experimenting with flavors and presentation.
  • Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in connecting with others.
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a relaxed, low-volume bar setting.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and occasional special events.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Toast POS highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests warmly and create an inviting atmosphere at the bar and lounge area.
  • Craft cocktails, pour drinks, and take/serve food orders with accuracy and attention to presentation.
  • Build genuine relationships with guests, learning their preferences to foster loyalty and repeat visits.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar at all times.
  • Collaborate with the Assistant General Manager and General Manager to create nightly or weekly drink specials that reflect guest preferences and the Residence Inn brand.
  • Partner with distributors and the management team to assist in planning and executing monthly events or themed gatherings.
  • Uphold safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service standards in accordance with company policies and local laws.
  • Take on additional duties as assigned by management to support the smooth operation of the hotel.
