About The Position

The Loan Trading Settlement / Par Loan Closer is responsible for preparing, posting, and reviewing LSTA/LMA standard documents and various loan documents including trade confirms, assignment agreements, proceeds letters, participation agreements, multilateral agreements, distressed agreements, and funding memos. This role ensures that documentation accurately reflects the instructions of the trade ticket and approval. The position requires proactive engagement with traders, sales coverage, authorized signatories, customers, client onboarding, counsel, account officers, middle office, and loan operations to settle secondary par and distressed loan trades and third-party assignments. The individual will establish and maintain strong working relationships with counterparties, agents, and all internal and external related parties, and will work closely with Clearpar closer and WSO analyst to manage trade activity and settlements. Responsibilities also include coordinating amendment votes on pending trades and trade closings, maintaining document files, reviewing credit agreements, identifying and escalating issues, preparing daily reporting to track trade status, and providing guidance to account officers and customers regarding LS&T processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 3+ years experience closing secondary par and distressed loan trades.
  • Experience with LSTA/LMA standard documentation and strong knowledge of LSTA/LMA standard terms and conditions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with loan-based software - ACBS, Clearpar, Loan IQ, Wall Street Office, and deal sites.
  • Prior knowledge of loan products, trading operations, and syndicated loans.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, post & review LSTA/LMA standard documents and other various loan documents.
  • Engage with traders, sales coverage, authorized signatories, customers, and other stakeholders to settle trades.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with counterparties and agents.

  • Maintain several document files and review credit agreements.
  • Identify and escalate issues to relevant parties.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate daily reporting to track trade status.
  • Provide guidance to account officers and customers regarding LS&T processes.
  • Assist with KYC and tax form requests.
  • Perform ad-hoc projects and support team members for audits.
