Summary/Objectives: The Loan Support Specialist performs various duties to ensure the accuracy of loan information in the bank’s core software. Essential functions: Verify proper upload of loan data, including terms, rates, borrower details, and collateral. Manually upload secondary market loans to the core system. Perform loan maintenance and assist with government-guaranteed loan requirements. Track purchased, sold, and participated loans; assist with collateral filings, tracking, and release. Ensure core information accuracy through project completion. Secure and log collateral documents; research and complete continuations as needed. Review closed loan reports daily and manage the mailing of paid Promissory Notes. Handle incoming mail, including Clerk’s Office items, and maintain collateral records. Scan, track, and file collateral documents, ensuring checklists and due dates are set. Request, monitor, and deliver appraisals and internal evaluations. Perform notary work as required. Actively participate in customer, community, and public relations activities to increase the bank’s visibility and enhance new business opportunities. Additional duties as assigned, as they relate to the position. Education/Qualifications: A High School Diploma. A college degree in business management or equivalent work experience is a plus. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in banking and one years’ experience in loan operations or teller line Successful completion of in-house training Supervisory: This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities and may serve as a mentor for other positions in the organization.
