About The Position

The Loan Servicing UCC Specialist I reviews loans for applicability for filing and tracking Uniform Commercial Codes (UCC) to secure collateral lien position for the bank. The Loan Servicing UCC Specialist I will also perform lien searches at applicable times during the life cycle of the loan.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of a specialized field such as basic accounting or computer skills.
  • Equivalent of four years in high school, plus specialized training equal to two years of college.
  • 19 to 23 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Files UCCs on all non-titled collateral immediately after the loan closes.
  • Monitors and files UCC continuations for existing loans.
  • Ensures recordation of online filings with the appropriate jurisdiction in compliance with the Uniform Commercial Code.
  • Files UCC termination per procedures following loan payoff.
  • Performs lien searches at applicable times during the life cycle of the loan.
  • Initiates tracking requirements and parameters per loan type.
  • Manages and responds to tickets, phone, and e-mail requests and inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Completes required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned.
  • The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
