About The Position
Kitsap Credit Union is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Loan Servicing Specialist to join our team at the East Bremerton location. This full-time position is integral to our loan servicing operations, focusing on a variety of loan types including real estate mortgage loans, Home Equity loans, Home Equity Lines of Credit (HELOC), auto loans, consumer loans, and credit cards. The Loan Servicing Specialist will ensure that all servicing activities are conducted in an effective, efficient, and regulatory compliant manner, contributing to the overall success of the department. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and responding to member and third-party requests, which may include loan workouts, payoff inquiries, short sales, reconveyances, and subordinations. You will prepare necessary documentation and present analysis and recommendations to the Loan Servicing Manager. Additionally, you will process and document loan adjustments, manage escrow payments, and handle annual forms and disclosures such as tax reporting documents. Collaboration with branch staff to resolve loan account inquiries is also a key aspect of this position. The Loan Servicing Specialist will coordinate file maintenance and retention activities, assist with the management of OREO properties, and prepare financial statements for income-producing properties. You will maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information and contribute to the department's operations by performing special projects and related duties as assigned. This role requires a proactive approach to investigating and responding to claims, ensuring that all actions are compliant with regulatory standards.
