About The Position

The Loan Servicing Specialist I is responsible for servicing customer needs, which includes handling phone calls, processing payments, managing payoffs, and conducting research. The role involves processing payoff quotes and completing loan payoffs, as well as booking completed mortgage or consumer/commercial loans, including disbursements and all required setups. The specialist will also pay weekly and monthly bills for vendors, complete monthly and quarterly required reports, and process monthly loan payments. Additionally, the position requires maintaining loan files and documenting all file maintenance for review, setting up and servicing all insurance for mortgage or consumer/commercial loans, and completing required steps with paid-off loan files. Understanding and learning investor requirements is also a key aspect of this role, along with performing other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Preferred 1 year of general knowledge of accounting or equivalent training to become familiar with basic accounting principles and terminology and account balancing.
• Preferred 1 year of data processing experience.

Responsibilities
