About The Position

The Loan Servicing Specialist I is responsible for servicing customer needs, which includes handling phone calls, processing payments, managing payoffs, and conducting research. The role involves processing payoff quotes and completing loan payoffs, booking completed mortgage or consumer/commercial loans, and ensuring all required setups and disbursements are handled appropriately. Additionally, the specialist will pay weekly and monthly bills for vendors, complete monthly and quarterly required reports, and maintain loan files while documenting all file maintenance for review. The position also requires setting up, maintaining, and servicing all insurance for mortgage or consumer/commercial loans, completing required steps with paid-off loan files, and understanding investor requirements. Other related duties may be assigned as necessary.

Requirements

• 1 year of general knowledge of accounting or equivalent training to become familiar with basic accounting principles and terminology and account balancing.
• 1 year of data processing experience.

Responsibilities

• Service customer needs including phone calls, payments, payoffs, and research.
• Process payoff quotes and complete loan payoffs.
• Book completed mortgage or consumer/commercial loans including disbursements and all required setups.
• Pay weekly and monthly bills for vendors.
• Complete monthly/quarterly required reports.
• Process monthly loan payments.
• Maintain loan files and document all file maintenance for review.
• Set-up, maintain, and service all insurance for mortgage or consumer/commercial loans.
• Complete required steps with paid-off loan files.
• Understand and learn investor requirements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
