About The Position

Responsible for filling a leadership role in the bank’s loan servicing area. Serves as a resource person to other Loan Servicing team members and employees of other departments. Performs higher level tasks of the department as assigned by the Mortgage Servicing Manager. Oversees all servicing functions.

Requirements

  • Five or more years of loan servicing experience
  • Able to perform at a high level in a fast-paced environment
  • Possess an aptitude for problem-solving
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to read and understand loan documents
  • Strong Excel skill (minimum intermediate level)

Responsibilities

  • Primary contact resource for Loan Servicing staff, assisting with inquiries regarding daily job functions.
  • Responsible for training and coaching Loan Servicing staff on daily job functions.
  • Provides input for annual reviews of loan operations staff.
  • Coordinates with Accounting to resolve outstanding items on loan related account reconcilements.
  • Oversees and assists with paying summer and winter taxes for our escrowed customers.
  • Monitor delinquent property taxes.
  • Completes monthly reporting for USDA Rural Housing Loans.
  • Assist with year-end reporting and preparation.
  • Prepare subordinations as requested.
  • Design, maintain, and implement all written policies and procedures for the servicing department
  • Serve as the subject matter expert in loan servicing and compliance
  • Adheres to all Federal and State laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act.
