About The Position

South Central Bank, Inc. is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Loan Services Specialist at the Operations Center in Glasgow, KY. The position of Loan Services Specialist is responsible for the loan once a processor has completed the packet until the loan is paid in full. Loan Services Specialists assist the bank employees and customers with questions concerning the loan, including but not limited to Insurance concerning the loans, releases of collateral once the loan is paid in full, payment corrections, and credit bureau verification.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED, or equivalent
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general procedures
Strong skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation
Intermediate analytical skills to meet production needs of the position.
Basic math skills and be able to locate routine mathematical errors in a timely manner.
Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports and correspondences, and speak clearly to customers and employees.
Ability to deal with the difficult problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations.
Effective organizational, time management and decision-making skills.
Ability to work with minimal supervision while performing duties.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
3-5 years experience in lending
Work related experience should consist of a financial institution loan background
Intermediate experience, knowledge and training in Loan Servicing activities, terminology as well as products and services.
Educational experience through in-house training sessions, formal school or financial industry related curriculum, should be business or financial industry related.
Intermediate Knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations and other bank operational policies.
