About The Position

This position evaluates new and existing credit relationships for asset quality, compliance with all applicable loan administration guidelines, internal policy and procedure and regulatory requirements in accordance with the Loan Review Policy. Communicates with lenders, lending support staff, and company leaders regarding trends, individual performance, and company results. Prepares quarterly written reports to be submitted to the Board of Directors.

Requirements

  • Three to five years of credit-related bank experience and at least a high school education or equivalent, with college being desirable but not required.
  • Detail oriented with excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Ability to thrive in a busy environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure.
  • Dependable and a self-starter.
  • Interest in learning more about the banking industry.
  • Knowledge of personal computers and related software applications.
  • High level of organizational skills and commitment.
  • Ability to learn quickly and assimilate information accurately.
  • Ability to make accurate and well-reasoned judgments and communicate these judgments in a professional manner.
  • Professional appearance that projects a positive company image to the public.

Responsibilities

  • Interact constructively with lenders, lending support staff, and as a member of the departmental team.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge of the bank’s loan underwriting policies, procedures, and of loan-related banking laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Exercise independent judgment and analyze the degree of compliance with bank policy, banking laws, rules, and regulations on bank loans of significant size.
  • Analyze financial statements to determine a borrower’s ability to repay loans.
  • Review loans on an accurate, consistent, and timely basis in accordance with established standards.
  • Provide written documentation for review findings and recommendations to management.
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of the bank’s loan operating systems.
  • Accurately identify trends and assist in identifying individual and collective training needs of Team Members who are involved in approving, extending and/or documenting loans.
  • Assist in departmental and bank-wide training as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.
