About The Position
AgWest Farm Credit is seeking a Loan Review Specialist to join our Loan Review department in Tulare, California. This full-time position is integral to our operations, reporting directly to the VP of Loan Review. The Loan Review Specialist will be responsible for performing quality control reviews, preparing documents, and analyzing new loan and loan servicing submissions. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance and the legal enforceability of loan documents, as well as the perfection of collateral on secured loans. The position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, allowing for a blend of in-office and remote work after the initial training period, along with a one-time home office stipend. In this role, the Loan Review Specialist will evaluate new loan requests and servicing submissions, adhering to established procedures and utilizing their acquired knowledge. They will review and interpret various legal and ancillary collateral documentation associated with loan requests, such as access and right-of-way agreements, water rights documentation, easements, leases, and permits related to real property. Identifying any existing or potential issues in these documents is a key responsibility. Additionally, the specialist will analyze organizational documentation of business entities, including corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships, and trust agreements, to identify material issues that may impact loans. They will collaborate with branch staff to address and remedy these issues, ensuring that all duties are performed in accordance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls. Other duties may be assigned as necessary, making this a dynamic and engaging position within the organization.
