Loan Review Officer/Adjunct Internal Audit

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
Four to five years of lending/loan operations experience or equivalent
Knowledge of general bank operations policies and procedures, pertinent banking regulations.
Substantial experience in credit/lending function preferred.
Strong financial analytical skills.
Criminal and credit background search required prior to hire.

Responsibilities

Annual Request of Financial Statements and Tax Returns per policy
Continual Follow-up with Loan officers to ensure needed information is being requested timely.
Establish threshold (Loan Amount) for the 1st phase of review, will begin at/ near materiality value determined and set by Management.
Loan Review Data Collection Collect and/or evaluate all information required to accurately review a credit file per Loan Review Form.
Create Cash flows based on new TR's and current Credit Report/ Financial Statements/ Balance Sheets, for all borrowers where it is not completed and in the file.
Review completed Cash Flows for accuracy if completed by Loan Officers.
Review Equity Position, Appraisal and Collateral value, Assignments in place, Account Holds, UCC's, Lien Searches, Insurance and all other documents required.
Review loan history and trends to determine all negative and positives to accurately risk rate the relationship per Diamond Bank policy.
The Review will be reported to the Loan Committee, where it will be discussed and noted in the meeting minutes
Risk rating changes recommended will be completed, maintenance and filed accordingly.
As time allows, will be involved in internal audit functions.
