About The Position

Complete the full processing and underwriting of all loan files. This includes but is not limited to preparation or Early Disclosures (as needed), completion of various Work Orders, completion of Ratio Determination, preparation of Closing Documents, and Identification of Exceptions to Loan Policy.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of [e.g., two to three] years of experience in a loan processing, banking, or related financial role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and experience with loan processing or loan origination software (e.g., Encompass, Calyx Point, Premier Navigator).
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of lending procedures, loan products (conventional, FHA, VA, etc.), and relevant industry regulations.
  • Soft Skills: o Attention to Detail: Extremely organized and meticulous in reviewing documentation to prevent errors. o Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service. o Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. o Analytical Thinking: Strong aptitude for math and the ability to read and interpret financial statements and credit reports.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with Loan Officers to obtain and complete all necessary information for compilation of loan file in accordance with Bank Policy Guidelines.
  • Prepare and deliver all Early Disclosures and Closing Disclosures for Consumer Real Estate loans in accordance with TRID timeframes.
  • Prepare documentation and support for Debt Service ability (DSC/DTI) for each loan file in accordance with Bank Policy Guidelines.
  • Prepare work orders for appraisals, flood certifications, title work, and title insurance.
  • Review all files received for accuracy and resolve and discrepancies with the lender.
  • Work with lenders to schedule closings to accommodate customer's schedules to the best of our ability.
  • Prepare all final closing documents and review for accuracy.
  • Identify all Policy Exceptions.
  • Ensure and verify that proper approval has been obtained for Policy Exceptions by the proper authority.
  • Ensure all Loans are in compliance with the bank's Legal Lending Limit.
  • Communicate to the Loan Administrator any identified abnormal risks in potential loan.
  • Maintain communication on all loan files with the lender and keep the Triple L log up to date at all times.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by Supervisor or Bank Management.
