The Loan Processor will facilitate timely and compliant loan closings and servicing actions and provide accurate notes, documents and disclosures. Requirements

  • Education and/or experience equivalent to a High School diploma or related field.
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency and familiarity with financial databases and spreadsheet applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to employ diplomacy and tact with customers and prospects while articulating the benefits of Farm Credit. Self-starter; problem-solving & time management skills; knowledge of agriculture.

Responsibilities

  • Loan Processing:
  • Initial set-up of Credit Delivery for a pending transaction
  • Pull and review CBI/Credit Report or AgScore information via Credit Delivery as requested by RM or CO (look for any alerts or suspect data within the credit report)
  • Utilize Credit Delivery & CSi to enter data provided in the credit underwriting package in order to produce the necessary documents and disclosures
  • Review checklists to ensure relevance of items listed
  • Establish closing date and coordination with attorney and customer as needed
  • Prepare, present and review all closing documentation and ensure accuracy and completeness prior to closing – review with MSR & RM.
  • Submit request to centralized accounting for check or wire for closing.
  • Coordinate with RM and CO to ensure required loan or servicing action conditions are met and documented prior to closing
  • Set up new UCC for new loans. MSR will submit the UCC after closing.
  • Prepare denial packages with assistance from RM and CO
  • Maintain Incomplete, Withdrawn & Denied Packages and Scan into AgDocs.
  • Review title commitments. LP will determine what exceptions should be removed from Schedule B-2 and relay this information to the closing attorney. LP will also review commitment for vested names, amount of policy, legal description and verify proposed insured. LP will review Final Title Policy when received. LP will make sure the requested exceptions have been omitted from the Final Title Policy. If an Endorsement page is received, LP will sign off and date both the front page of Final Title Policy and the Endorsement page, otherwise just sign and date front page of Final Title Policy. When liquid signature is not an option, LP should digitally sign and date.
  • Assist CRM Management for positive Member Experience & Compliance with Regulations
  • Update CRM with Data as it becomes available to ensure Accurate and Timely Communications
  • Post Closing
  • Review and correct issues and exceptions found and noted during Loan Verification/Data Check for items generated via Credit Delivery
  • Assist the MSR and LO in the follow-up of items to be completed after closing final title policies, vehicle titles, collateral insurance documentation, recorded deed to secure debt, AgDocs certification pending
  • AgDocs Certification - Ensure all documents noted on the checklist are scanned, legible, & accurate prior to certifying
  • Reporting and Other
  • Periodically review and clean up “Loans In Process” within Credit Delivery
  • Customer Relations
  • Secondary responsibility for answering phone calls and greeting walk-in customers (primary is MSR)
  • Secondary responsibility for accepting loan payments, issuing draw checks, and processing Fast Cash requests
  • Refer potential customers to LO
  • Advocate for Farm Credit in the community
  • Assist other deal team members in servicing existing loans
  • Assist MSR as needed with various branch tasks (purchase office supplies, incoming/outgoing mail, A/P invoices, submit change of address requests to centralized accounting, etc.)
