SUMMARY: The Home Equity Loan Processor provides efficient and accurate support to our members seeking home equity loans. With a focus on member service and teamwork, the incumbent plays a crucial role in building trust and ensuring the Credit Union’s mission of financial wellness is met.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED – Required.
  • Real estate processing, filing and documentation experience
  • Consumer Banking/loan administrative experience
  • Able to effectively handle large volumes of information
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills, specifically with Word and Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while remaining highly detail oriented.
  • Must communicate effectively via verbal and written modalities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent service to Credit Union members by partnering with Loan Officers and supporting the application process.
  • Receive home equity loan application package from loan officers and ensure completeness, accuracy and the integrity of information submitted
  • Enter all required information into Loan Origination System following the order of verifications
  • Review homeowner’s insurance for accuracy and coverage amount
  • Review Title and flood reports for issues that may affect perfecting a lien against the property
  • Ensure the Credit Union is added to homeowner’s insurance as a mortgagee
  • Communicate with Loan Officers and members as needed
  • Schedule closing appointments for members and co-ordinate requirements with branch staff completing the closings
  • Prepare closing packets and instructions for members and branches according to established regulations and department standards.
  • Oversee loan closings by reviewing paperwork submitted and making disbursements on dates required for compliance.
  • Work cross-collaboratively with the full lending team to support the overall goals, mission, and values of the organization.
