About The Position

Take the lead as subject matter expert on essential duties of a Loan Processing Specialist I and II; guide projects within scope of department; coach and work with the team to identify and implement process efficiencies; deliver internal support to other business lines and the branches via phone and email.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
  • Minimum four (4) years of experience in loan processing.
  • Established experience with Jack Henry banking software.
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, independent judgment and decision making skills.
  • High level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and work within compressed time frames.

Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise on maintenance requests including new loan input for commercial, consumer and mortgage.
  • Track missing or pending items for consumer and mortgage loans.
  • File vehicle lien information using electronic lien filing systems.
  • Input loan denial and withdrawn application data.
  • Identify and resolve customer inquiries and issues in a timely manner.
  • Interact with various business lines to achieve shared customer servicing goals.
  • Electronically image, index and maintain loan documentation using computer systems.
  • Interpret attorney prepared documentation to accurately board the loan.
  • Conduct activities related to the completion of legal documentation to perfect the Bank's security interest.
  • Understand tax reporting guidelines relating to loan operations.
  • Conduct data entry of reportable information including mortgage interest and points.
  • Review loans for compliance and perform loan level data on each loan.
  • Lead in completing and coordinating special lending-related projects.
  • Communicate proficiently with lenders to answer questions and resolve discrepancies.
  • Organize and present training materials on policy and procedure updates.
  • Identify patterns or connections between situations and underlying issues.
  • Coordinate specific work tasks with personnel from applicable departments.
  • Attend regularly scheduled coaching and counseling sessions.
  • Abide by current laws and organizational policies to promote a harassment-free environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
