We are seeking a full-time Loan Processing Associate II to join our team and work on-site at our Muncy Office. As part of the Loan Processing Department, this position reports to the AVP, Loan Processing Manager. The Loan Processing Associate is responsible for performing a variety of duties to support the loan processing function; preparing loan documents, reviewing documents for accuracy, onboarding loans; answering and directing phone calls, reporting pertinent information to the immediate supervisor. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent with a preference for advanced degree and/or specialized training in a business or financial field. In addition, a minimum of one (1) year experience in a banking or related position, with a working knowledge of loans and documentation is preferred.

Requirements

  • The selected candidate must have the ability to use a computer with Windows and Web-based software applications including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Proficient reading and math skills are required, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Candidates must have proficient typing skills with high attention to detail and accuracy, and a positive and professional mannerism.
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Preference for advanced degree and/or specialized training in a business or financial field.
  • A minimum of one (1) year experience in a banking or related position, with a working knowledge of loans and documentation is preferred.
  • Preference for working knowledge of bank operating policies and procedures that impact consumer and mortgage loan document services.

Responsibilities

  • Works with lenders, appraisers, attorneys, outside service providers, and customers and reviews and processes consumer, and commercial loan applications.
  • Obtains necessary supporting documentation in accordance with established checklists as needed; orders, obtains, and complies credit reports; orders lien searches; orders appraisals and flood certifications; advises the assigned supervisor of problems.
  • Collects and inputs HMDA data in loan software system.
  • Generates loan documents; informs branches of any documentation changes.
  • Tracks new loans and commitments.
  • Acquires and/or ensures adequate insurance coverage.
  • Prepares necessary documents for closings; coordinates closing date with settlement officer.
  • Provides information for, and assists in the preparation of, various loan reports as directed.
  • Provides direct customer service and assists in other areas of the loan department.
  • Ensures compliance with loan policy procedures and federal and state lending regulations. Prepares loan packages for delivery and/or upload.
  • Cooperates with, participates in, and promotes the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety, soundness, and compliance with all regulatory requirements. This includes annual Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) training and complying with all BSA rules and regulations as they pertain to the job position within the Bank.
