About The Position

The primary function of the Loan Processing Assistant is to assist the Senior Loan Processor with obtaining third party documentation for the loan file. Responsibilities include ordering appraisals, obtaining borrower credit card information, placing orders, following up with any order issues, and keeping the Loan Processor informed. The assistant will also order tax transcripts, ensure accuracy of the 4506T form, retrieve results, and upload them for review. Additional tasks include ordering condo documentation, verbal and written verifications of employment, updated hazard and flood insurance policies, and ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant with AmeriHome policy and investor requirements. The role may also involve tracking payment details and receipts for management, as well as performing any additional duties assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Technology savvy with experience in email platforms.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Mortgage experience is a plus but not required.
  • Working knowledge of Encompass is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Senior Loan Processor with obtaining third party documentation for the loan file.
  • Order appraisals of the subject property.
  • Obtain borrower credit card information and place orders.
  • Follow up with any order issues and keep the Loan Processor informed.
  • Order tax transcripts and ensure accuracy of the 4506T form.
  • Retrieve results and ensure they are complete and uploaded for review.
  • Order condo documentation and review HOA contact.
  • Follow up with HOA for additional items needed.
  • Upload completed documents for review.
  • Order verbal verifications of employment and complete verification forms.
  • Order written verifications of employment and complete verification forms.
  • Order updated hazard and/or flood insurance policies.
  • Ensure proper verification of credit card charges for any third party orders.
  • Track payment details and receipts for management.
  • Review and ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, verified, and compliant.
  • Perform any additional duties assigned by management.
