About The Position

The Loan Portfolio Manager will assist loan officers in servicing and closing commercial and consumer loans. This role is based in Covington, LA, with occasional training in nearby locations. The position involves coordinating various aspects of loan processing and customer service, ensuring efficient loan closings and compliance with regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; 2-year associates or college degree preferred.
  • 2 plus years of loan processing experience required.
  • Familiarity with loan program guidelines.
  • Knowledge of consumer, commercial, and real estate loans, regulations, procedures, and documentation.
  • Personal computer experience, Windows, Word, Excel, Laser-Pro.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Accurate.
  • Reliable.
  • Ability to perform multi tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Works well as a team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist loan officers with all aspects of loan closings.
  • Engage appraisers and attorneys.
  • Coordinate loan closing with attorneys.
  • Process loan payments and other entries related to loan closings and customer servicing.
  • Handle incoming customer calls regarding servicing on accounts.
  • Assist in clearing exceptions and collecting past due accounts.
  • Check NSF items for accounts assigned to loan officers.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as needed.
  • Work with the loan documentation department to coordinate & prepare loan documents for closing.
  • Gather required documentation to facilitate loan closings (i.e. tax records, insurance).
