Riverland Federal Credit Union is seeking a Loan (Outtake) & Mortgage Processor to join our Member Services team. The ideal candidate will have exemplary organizational, problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills. Our standard member service hours are Monday - Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, the actual hours worked in this position will vary based on business needs; but is typically a standard 40-hour work week, and may include occasional work after hours, as needed. The Loan (Outtake) & Mortgage Processor is responsible for accurately and efficiently process loan applications and disperse funds. Accurately examine applications, documents, and process prior to funding. Assist Mortgage Processor in preparing loan applications, maintaining loan documentation and correspondence for residential loans. Communicates with mortgage service providers, and processes and disburses HELOC loans. Maintains a thorough knowledge of credit union loan guidelines.

  • Review loan applications for accuracy and completeness prior to disbursement.
  • Process approved Heloc applications in accordance with departmental procedures.
  • Run OFAC checks on all loan disbursements.
  • Process and disburse loan funds in accordance with internal procedures.
  • Prepare closing documents accurately and coordinate closing appointments with title company, member, and in-house notary.
  • Order new Mastercards as requested.
  • Handle purchases and claims for third-party products such as GAP, MRC, and LDP.
  • Cross sell credit union products and services when appropriate.
  • Maintain and respond to help tickets related to loan adjustments, including payment corrections, interest/fee refunds, and due date changes.
  • Monitor and respond to inquiries and loan processor email accounts, department voicemail, and credit union chat, and answer incoming phone calls.
  • Notify Supervisor of any discrepancies found in title or survey documents.
  • Report any suspicious activity or potential loan fraud to management.
  • Complete annual in-services to include critically identified areas: BSA, Compliance, Security and Workplace Conduct.
  • Follow Credit Union’s policies and procedures at all times and perform all other duties as assigned.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of similar or related experience.
  • High school education or GED.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US.
  • Must be willing to submit to and pass a criminal background check.
  • Must be willing to submit to and pass a credit check.
  • Must be bondable.
  • Previous experience in a credit union is a plus.
